After February's superb first show of 2012 - which sold out in just over a week and a half of tickets being on sale - we're back again in March with another four top acts from the national and international comedy circuit.
As we announced previously, it's become nessacery to increase our ticket price to £10 in order to keep bringing the very best comedians to Nantwich. We'd held our £9 price point for over three years and we still believe that this is one of the best value entertainment tickets in the area and once again this month, we'll bring some more of the best comedians to Nantwich. We've got a superb line-up which includes the man who co-wrote the legendary "Phoenix Nights" with Peter Kay and Dave Spikey and a real beacon for comedy in the NorthWest.

That man is Neil Fitzmaurice, who could also be seen on the show as "Ray Von", the social club's out of place DJ. Neil is also recognisable as Jeff Heaney from the hugely successful "Peep Show" series. Neil is the writer behind the 90's cult film "Going Off Big Time" and an
The show will be overseen by another stalwart of comedy ion this country, Andre Vincent. Andre has been the long time partner of Marcus Brigstocke on the Radio, and subsequently TV, series The Late Edition. A show which is now a staple of the Edinburgh Fringe festival calendar. Andre has an incredible Nine sell out runs in Edinburgh. Many comedians will attest to how hard it is to get a couple of sell out runs under their belt, let alone nine of them.
March's show also welcomes back a man who has played several times for us and comes to us each better time. This is the first time Mike Newall will play the Civic in Nantwich and since visiting us last, has enjoyed two successful Edinburgh Festival stints with his shows "Mr. Famous" in 2010 and "Mike Newall's Get Better Box".
Our final act on the bill is Malawian Daliso Chaponda. Daliso's been hitting the headlines recently because he's touring his show "Antisocial Commentator" in Malawi and Zimbabwe. What hits the headlines however is that Daliso's father, George, is the Education Minister in Malawi and is also the subject of some of Daliso's show. This isn't looked upon too lightly in Malawi and Daliso risks jail by talking about his politician father on the stage. Daliso has become a huge hit in not only his lands but on both sides of the Atlantic too. No easy feat to find a level of humour that suits such a wide demographic. So there you have it - the tickets have gone up a little bit (and we may need to use some for bail bonds!) but the quality will keep on coming at The Very Best In Stand Up at Nantwich Civic Hall.
The show takes place on Friday 3rd February 2012 and tickets on sale now - priced at £10 - get them from the tickets page or the link opposite. They are also available from Nantwich Civic Hall.
Table reservations are available to groups of six or more and will be open until 25% of the table allocation have been taken - these are taken quickly so email reservations@civiccomedy.co.uk as soon as you have purchased your tickets. If you have been successful in a table reservation, please ensure you have claimed it by 7.45 or it will be released.
Doors will open at 7.15pm with the show commencing at 8.15pm. No under 16’s will be admitted and all persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
