The Very Best in Stand Up is currently in the summer break, but we return for our fourth season of Stand Up comedy at the Civic in September with a fantastic line-up to welcome it.
We’re about to make a small change to our online ticketing channels and this will be the last show that we have Google Checkout as a ticket buying option. From the next show in October, See Tickets will be our online channel for ticket sales from the website. The good news is that we’re keeping our ticket prices the same for this season of stand-up comedy keeping our message of a great night out for £10 a ticket.
September’s show takes place on the 6th and will feature another four top name acts on the bill.

Sean Collins is a Canadian now residing in the UK and successfully plying his dry, sardonic brand of comedy on some of the biggest stages in comedy across the country and beyond. Sean has also made several high profile appearances on TV, both in the UK and in his native Canada. In the UK, Sean appeared on “Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow”, before taking to the road for a national theatre tour with fellow comic Mike Gunn, titled “Still on the Roadshow”.
Irish comedian Martin Mor has been established on the comedy circuit for over 25 years now and in that time has been the support act of choice for the likes of Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Patrick Kielty and even Tina Turner! With numerous appearances on radio and television, Martin has worked at all levels of the industry; being a warm up man, devising and performing his own television show, and writing jokes for some of the biggest names in British comedy. Martin is the only act on the bill to have previously played for us at Nantwich Civic Hall, doing so in our very first season in 2010.
Our next act up is a relative newcomer by comparison to the other acts on the bill but he’s already setting up shop to becoming one of the next big household names of the UK comedy circuit. Rob Beckett was originally due to play with us in May, but had to postpone the date, so we’re delighted to have him re-schedule into September’s show. Rob has been all over TV in the past six months from hosting on “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here”, to “8 out of 10 cats” and very recently in “Celebrity Juice”.
And the final act on our first show of the new season is Adam Bloom. Seven completely sold out Edinburgh Festival shows, but also an act that has managed to be hugely successful in other places in the world, playing the across 17 cities in a Canadian tour that took in 42,000 people over the dates along with numerous theatre sell outs in Australia and New Zealand. Picking numerous awards along the way including the prestigious Time Out Comedian Of The Year award, Adam is coming to the Civic (and playing for us) for the very first time and we’re thrilled to have him.
The show takes place on Friday 6th September 2013 and tickets are on sale now - priced at £10 - get them from the tickets page or the link opposite. They are also available from Nantwich Civic Hall in person or by calling the venue on 01270 685577.
